I have decided to stick with the name 'Classmate' as it has alot of relavance to the target audience for my magazine which are school students. I did think about changing the name of my magazine to something that would be something more year specific but because I was aiming my magazine at people from all different year groups I needed a more rounded magazine for all the students for example, I if I was aiming my magazine at people in sixth form I could have gone for something like 'A*' but because it was a whole school magazine I decided to stick to my title because it was most fitting for my magazine. Classmate as a name can represent school life and it is a freindly name which represents school life. Classmate is clear and precise name and people can clearerly tell what it is about.
After deciding on the name, I moved on to analysing other magazines to get an understabnding on how other magazines are laid out and what the general codes and conventions are for magazines such as my own.

In todays lesson I continued to look at  magazines that other students have made in the past to help me get a clearer idea of how i want to make my magazine and what looks good and what looks bad. As I already had quite a clear idea of what I wanted my magazine to look like I didnt have to make a queationnaire for help unlike some people that are in my class thus allowing me to save time and allowing me to have time to work on other things.
